Cloudflare adds a free CDN, caching, and security in front of your site.
- Create a free account at Cloudflare and add your domain.
- Cloudflare scans and imports your existing DNS records — check they all came across correctly (especially your A and MX records).
- Cloudflare gives you two nameservers. Update your domain's nameservers (article 129) to those Cloudflare values at your registrar.
- Wait for Cloudflare to confirm activation (can take a few hours).
- Manage all DNS records in the Cloudflare dashboard from now on (not cPanel's Zone Editor).
Important: Once you switch to Cloudflare's nameservers, your DNS is managed at Cloudflare — make future record changes there. Keep your email's MX and related records intact during the move, or mail will stop flowing.
