A full backup captures your entire account — files, databases, email, and settings.
- Log in to cPanel.
- Go to Files > Backup (or Backup Wizard).
- Under Full Backup, click Download a Full Account Backup.
- Choose the destination (Home Directory is fine) and click Generate Backup.
- cPanel emails you when the backup is ready; download it from the same page.
Important: A full backup is excellent for safekeeping and migrations, but cPanel often can't restore a full backup itself — it's mainly for download or for our team to restore. For self-service restores, use the partial backups (articles 157–161) or JetBackup (article 163).
