Load a database from a .sql file — used when migrating a site.

1. First create an empty database to import into (article 117).
2. Open phpMyAdmin (article 119) and select that empty database on the left.
3. Click the Import tab.
4. Click Choose File, select your .sql file, and click Import (or Go).

Note: If the file is too large to upload, compress it to .zip or .gz first, or raise the PHP upload limit (article 64). Very large databases may need to be imported via command line — contact support@hostingpartners.co.za.
