Keep your certificate valid so visitors never see a warning.
- Free (Let's Encrypt/AutoSSL): renewal is automatic — AutoSSL renews certificates before they expire, with nothing for you to do.
- Purchased certificate: renew it through the provider before the expiry date, then re-install the new files (article 144).
- Check status any time in SSL/TLS Status (article 140).
Tip: If a free certificate didn't auto-renew, re-run AutoSSL manually. This usually happens if the domain's DNS or a redirect temporarily blocked validation.
