An FTP account lets you (or a developer) connect to your files with FTP software.

1. Log in to cPanel.
2. Go to Files > FTP Accounts.
3. Enter a username and choose the domain.
4. Set a strong password.
5. Set the Directory to limit where this account can go (for example, a single subfolder).
6. Click Create FTP Account.

Tip: Give a developer an FTP account scoped to just the folder they need, rather than sharing your main login.
