How to create a MySQL database in cPanel Print

  • 0

Many applications (including WordPress) need a database to store their data.

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Go to Databases > MySQL Databases.
  3. Under Create New Database, type a name and click Create Database.
  4. Note the full database name — it's usually prefixed with your account name (for example, account_dbname).

Next, create a user and link it to the database (article 118).

Tip: Use a clear name like wordpress or shop so you can tell your databases apart later.
