Keeping everything updated is the most important thing you can do for security.

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Go to Dashboard > Updates.
3. Update WordPress core first if an update is shown.
4. Then update plugins and themes, either all at once or individually.

Important: Back up your site first (article 93) before major updates, so you can roll back if anything breaks. Test your site after updating.
